MISSION
The mission of the Young Democrats is to increase the participation of young people in the Democratic Party. This includes candidate development, elections and campaigns, and advocacy on issues set forth by an adopted platform, or other issues approved by the State Caucus.
Based on this simple mission statement, the Young Democrats of Connecticut have begun working toward the following goals:
- Assist Young Democratic candidates for Congress, Constitutional Offices, Gubernatorial, the Connecticut General Assembly and other elected positions
- Provide Financial Assistance to Young Candidates
- Provide training and support.
- Promote Young Democrats to get involved in politics through all elected offices, boards and commission, and campaign management
- Build strong local chapters
- Participate in community service projects
- Host fundraisers in addition to networking and social events
